The African Organisation of Supreme Audit Institutions (AFROSAI) launched the Regional Coordinated Audit on Illicit Financial Flows (IFFs) at a conference held in Nairobi, Kenya from 10 to 11 April 2025, marking a pivotal step in promoting financial accountability across Africa.
This conference is supported through the ‘Fighting Tax Related Illicit Financial Flows in Africa’ Project, co-funded by the European Commission, Ministry for Foreign Affairs of Finland and Federal Ministry for Economic Cooperation and Development (BMZ) in capacitating African institutions to combating IFFs and promoting good governance.
The two-day event brought together high-level stakeholders—including representatives from AFROSAI, African Supreme Audit Institutions (SAIs) and international partners to present and discuss the findings of the audit, share best practices and reflect on lessons learned.
