Daniel Wegner is a Technical Advisor for the Good Financial Governance in Africa Programme since October 2023. As part of the Multi-Donor Action on addressing tax-related illicit financial flows (IFF), providing technical advice to the African Union Commission (AUC) based in Addis Ababa, Ethiopia. Previously, he worked as an GIZ Advisor to the German Federal Ministry for Economic Cooperation and Development (BMZ) in Berlin, Germany and for the International Centre for Asset Recovery, where he acted as Programme Coordinator for the “Tackling Serious and Organised Corruption Programme” (TSOC) in Lilongwe, Malawi. Daniel holds a Master of Letters in International Relations from the University of St Andrews and a Postgraduate Diploma in Development Cooperation from the German institute of Development and Sustainability (IDOS).
