In the Good Financial Governance in Africa Programme, Malte Boehm works closely with the African Organization of English-speaking Supreme Audit Institutions (AFROSAI-E) and its members striving to strengthen external financial control in Africa. Since 2017, Malte has worked on public financial management and accountability in different GIZ projects in Africa. He completed his graduate and post graduate studies in the Netherlands and China. He holds a Master in Public Administration from Leiden University with a research focus on the rule of law and good governance. Malte views public financial management as the very fundament for effective and efficient public service delivery and thus of crosscutting importance for sustainable development cooperation.
